Practical support.
Stronger businesses.
To help Jamaica’s independent tourism transport operators build professional, sustainable businesses through accessible membership, practical guidance and meaningful partnerships.

We know the journey because we’ve lived it. JAVO helps independent Jamaican tourism operators find clearer guidance, practical support and a community to grow with.
A practical question brought our founders together: how could independent operators formalise their businesses with support they could afford?
Asheki and Alex had spent years serving guests and building relationships with drivers, tour providers and local businesses. When they sought to regularise their own operations, they wanted membership to offer practical value, clear guidance and meaningful connections.
The journey involved applications, referrals and repeated conversations with the Transport Authority and TPDCo. It took persistence and a willingness to ask questions.
The founders saw how much their existing relationships had helped their businesses. They wanted other operators—especially those building from the grassroots—to benefit from that same spirit of collaboration.
Jamaica Adventure Vehicle Operators Limited was founded in 2024. Today, JAVO brings together membership support, licensing-process guidance and business connections to help operators take their next steps with greater confidence.
JAVO was established with its South Coast chapter, rooted in St. Elizabeth.
Our first JTB Tour Operators (Local) Licence for the South Coast was approved on 30 August 2024, with the approval communicated through TPDCo.
The Montego Bay chapter launched, extending JAVO’s regional support and operator community under Chapter President Alex Brooks.
Our Ocho Rios chapter is launching under Chapter President Michael Vermont, building new connections on Jamaica’s north coast.
