The March 31 licensing cycle does not automatically give you 12 months from the day you pay. Check the expiry shown on every issued document.

Set reminders before expiry
Use 60-day and 30-day reminders to budget, gather documents and arrange inspections. Follow the authority’s actual renewal window. Do not operate on an expired document because a renewal is pending.

For the 2026/27 period, the Transport Authority announced emailed road licences in place of its road-licence stickers. Separate JTB and JAVO identification requirements still apply.
