You are licensed.
Keep your business ready.
Before operating, confirm that all required approvals are complete for the specific vehicle, driver and service. Red plates alone do not establish that every requirement has been met.
Keep a complete operating file
Keep the road licence, vehicle registration, fitness, suitable motor insurance, applicable JTB approval, driver credentials and JAVO membership details accessible and current.
Maintain insurance
Confirm that your vehicle, drivers and actual activities are covered. Renew before the policy expires. Any JAVO-related public-liability arrangement is subject to its policy conditions and does not replace your motor insurance.
Maintain the vehicle and service
Use pre-trip checks, scheduled maintenance and service records. Keep the vehicle clean, safe and ready for guests. Maintain required tracking and equipment.
Keep JAVO informed
Report changes to vehicles, drivers, insurance, licences and contact information, and incidents affecting safe or lawful operation. Have additional or replacement vehicles reviewed before representing them as approved.
Keep business records
Record income, expenses, bookings and maintenance. Protect passenger information. File required tax returns and make applicable payments.
Plan your renewals
Track every document’s actual expiry. A pending application or receipt does not automatically extend a licence or insurance policy.
